Alberta Wide Channels

AB Wide 1 to 6 – VHF Channels for Western Canada

Alberta Wide Channels are available across Western & Northern Canada!

Alberta Wide Channel Info

Despite these channels being called “Alberta Wide” or “Alberta Open”, many are permitted to be used across multiple Provinces and Territories. This actually makes them more versatile than the LADD channels.

These 6 Alberta Wide VHF channels are often grouped with the 4 LADD channels, and are known as the “Basic 10”.

Not all channels can be used in each Province or Territory. Please carefully consult the table below to learn which channels can be used in the areas you will be operating in.

Full details are listed in the Industry Canada B1 Appendix.
